What is Direct Selling?

Direct selling is defined as all methods of selling in which independent sellers explain or demonstrate products to customers in locations other than a retail establishment, typically the customer’s home, the home of another customer or the customer’s place of work, etc.

Direct sellers may be any person or entity which are part of a distribution system of a company engaged in direct selling and which sell products of said company, enable sales thereof or assist in the sales thereof. Direct sellers may be authorised to recruit other direct sellers (i.e. Multi-level Marketing). Direct sellers may be independent business agents, independent contractors, independent dealers or distributors, representatives with employee or self-employed status, or other similar sales representatives of the company.
